TRAINING METHOD AND PHILOSOPHY Teresa uses operant conditioning, better known as "Clicker Training". This involves the use of a primary reinforcer (food) and secondary) reinforcer (clicker) to teach the dog appropriate behavior. Owners learn to identify the behavior they want, "click" it, then follow with a "treat". By marking and subsequently rewarding appropriate behavior, it is more likely to occur again. This method enables owners to "take their dogs off welfare" and motivate them to earn their rewards for good behavior. This sets the foundation for a solid training relationship between dog and handler based on mutual respect and love. Teaching strong attention skills is stressed. NO HARSH CORRECTIONS, CHAIN OR PRONG COLLARS ARE PERMITTED. NO FORCE WILL BE USED AT ANY TIME. Register and Pay On-Line in 3 Easy Steps
